Dr. Vicki Van
Dr. Vicki Van was born and raised in Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Virginia Tech, graduating with honors. Following her undergraduate training, she attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where she received her doctor of medicine degree.
After completing medical school, Dr. Van served her internship and residency at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Virginia. During her residency, she met her future husband and practice associate, Dr. David Van. In 1987, they moved to Griffin, Georgia, and founded McIntosh Trail Family Practice Associates. Her practice concentration is in the field of office based gynecology and women’s health. She also has primary care training and experience affording her the ability to treat diverse patient needs.
In 2001, McIntosh Trail Family Practice developed the La Maison Derm Esthetics skin care division, dedicated to the development of healthy, beautiful skin. Dr. Vicki Van trained with the renowned Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr. Zein Obagi, developer of the skin repair and rejuvenation system at the heart of the world-famous Obagi® Nuderm System and Obagi® Blue Peel. As a result, she has a deep understanding of this medically proven procedure.
In addition, she is certified to administer BOTOX® Cosmetic for skin restoration, and to treat patients with intense pulsed laser (IPL™), radio frequency, and microdermabrasion-all techniques that restore a healthy skin by treating the destructive effects of environmental damage, exposure to sunlight, and the natural aging process. Dr. Van’s commitment to good health and wellness for her patients serves as the foundation for her practice of medicine. When not practicing medicine she is involved in her family’s many activities, sports and traveling.
Dr. Van and her associates welcome new patients to the practice and invite prospective patients to visit both websites: www.dermesthetics.com and www.mcintoshtrail.com.
